I would of said Sony when the PS2 was in its prime, but since the PS2 is no longer a next generation console. Sony loses and Microsoft wins this generation :)

Both companies have a lot to be ashamed for.

Microsoft has monopolistic practices, Sony has stuff like the trojan horse (rootkit) they installed on customers' computers through their music CDs, closing down Lik-Sang, price fixing (which Nintendo also did)...

I heard a rumour that Microsoft will enter the portable gaming industry and call their device "Mii". There was someone who posted a thread on that a week ago. How unoriginal "Mii". Rips off the Wii name. Must be a joke eh?

PS3 or XBox 360?

PS3 would be my choice more reliable hardware and a great games library, blu-ray player, better graphics, better sound, free online service and many more games on the way.

Sony is doing particularly well in the video game market at the moment with the continued dominance of the PS2, resurgence of both the PSP and now the PS3 is taking off.
Huge sales of PS3 consoles are expected in upcoming weeks. MGS 4 will sell lots of copies and there are lots of AAA PS3 titles on the way. PS3 hardware sales will reach record heights.
