Which do you think is better? Sony or Microsoft? I'm putting this here cause I personally think it will be better.
The better corporation as a whole package? Taking into consideration all business divisions, brand image, reputation of Sony and Microsoft.
They're both kind of scumbag corporations.
Sony has a the better brand image in the eyes of customers. Sony delivers reliable products. Sony invented the Sony Walkman, CD's , DVD player in the PS2 and Blu-Ray player in the PS3.
Microsoft well they are anti-competive corporation who monopolised the software market. MS does not have a good brand image in the eyes of customers.

MS dominates in their field of expertise and SONY is only liked more cause they don't dominate in anything(monopoly) like Gaming.
Sony kinda sucks, they even tried to install some kind of spyware/virus on my computer few years ago! Microsoft is our friend! I bet 98% of users on this site uses microsoft products almost daily!
Sony - One of the best hardware developers out there :P If not the best
MS - One of the best software developers (Although Apple is one hell of a company, and i could say it's gaining some ground on MS's market...I personally Apple>MS anyday :) )
Haha a Sony VS Microsoft thread in the SONY forum = FAIL. (Mainly because you're wanting to hear Sony as the answer I guess).
Anyway, both are terrible companies. As with most multinational corporations, they only care about profits and they drain the resources and pollute everything they touch. Sure they do corporate philantrophy (kan't spellz no mores) but it is a band-aid for the bullet wound they cause to the 2nd/3rd world countries they exploit cheap labour from. But, I'm a hypocrit because I still use their products anyway.
I think it's hilarious that Rock_On says people hate microsoft because they've taken monopoly in the computer market, except that Apple did that before MS did and no one seemed to care. Also, Sony tries to monopolise on everything and no they didn't invent DVD's and Blu-ray (solely). AND just because sony copyrighted the term "walkman" doesn't mean they invented it, it's just that there's was the first commercial successful one.
I'm sure you can list a number of things about both companies that make them bad, in particular these days, the two seem to have hit their creative thresholds, with both companies using the templates for other companies on their products: sony's been doing this since CD's became popular and MS with Vista and Zune, which borrow alot of features and design cues from Leopard OS and the Ipod.

As far as gaming goes I say Sony.
Boycotting the following:
1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.
2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.
3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.
4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games. If that were the case they'd own a PS3.
5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.
6. Boycotts: Their so lame.
They both suck, long live Nintendo!
If we had a choice, the great majority would pick them.
