Forums - Microsoft Discussion - X360 is sinking faster than the Titanic.

question is. Does MS truly care to be #1 in console wars? x360 is selling better then xbox.
MS knows that they have time.
xbox - introduced new brand
x360 - improved what was done

MS is only in the video game business to outsell both Sony and Nintendo. Coming first means everything to the big companies. at the moment the Wii has the advantage due to wii being trendy at the moment. Sony will come back when FF XIII, God of War 3, GT 5 and all the other big AAA PS3 titles arrive along with a PS3 price cut where the PS3 closes in on the Wii's price point. Historically Nintendo consoles start well but drop off in later years. History tends to follow a pattern. Time will reveal all. X360 is made by MS and quite frankly no one wants MS to win a console generation. MS winning a console generation would be terrible for gaming.

So, 360 is sinking because it's making profit on every console in its slightly less sales to the PS3 who is making a substantially loss per sale but is selling more?

Righttttttttt......... That's like saying the gamecube failed because it only sold 20million (even though it turned a profit very early on).

If you submerged the Titanic and an xbox 360 in the Atlantic ocean I think the 360 would sink first, so yes, you are correct.

Maybe a Wii could float, it's much lighter.

EDIT - it's also much smaller though, so it would probably sink too.

Hmmm, Perhaps if we could convince Nintendo to make it larger and flatter it would occupy a larger surface area which would actually make the wii a fairly bouyant craft. Perhaps the wii could remarket itself as a games console/life preserver.

It always surprises me how many people do bother and post in these stupid threads (irony, I just became one of them) made by a fanboy that should bring sony's fun in a seriously uncomfortable position. At least I would feel that way.
@ Rock on
seriously boy, do you play any games?

Nice idea. It would also give a new meaning to the "blue ocean strategy".

Most people don't know this but the HD-DVD addon can also be used as a floatation device.

The HD DVD add on was a joke. History has proved that add-ons fail miserably. Points at SEGA- those guys had two shit add-ons that barely sold 100k total each. Sorry can not remember the Sega add-ons but they both sucked.

I didn't know that... I'm glad that I finally learned something in this thread, it was not all wasted time.
