Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Madden 08 Wii interview!!

I didn't care if you meant if the Wii version or not is crappy, the fact you came to this thread specifically to troll it because you don't like Madden is idiotic especially considering you get angry when people do the same things to PS3 threads (as you rightfully should).

I couldn't care less if you don't like Madden, I'll even welcome constructive criticism of the game (because there are plenty of things wrong with it) but it's not that hard to face the fact that people do like the games (and yes, even hardcore gamers) and enjoy playing them.

Apart from the online and general improvements, having the Telestrator to rub it in your buddy's face sounds real cool. Definitely going to pick this one up.

I usually really don't care a lot about graphics, but in sports games I generally want those to look as realistic as possible. I would have liked them to ask how the Wii version compares to the 360 and PS3 versions (obviously not as good, but still would like to know).

Since I really didn't like NCAA 07 or Madden 07, I might consider picking up both the 08 versions. Madden for the Wii and NCAA for the 360. I generally only buy the odd years and generally don't bother with Madden but 07 just wasn't great in my opinion (especially the fact that they didn't let you create you own teams in NCAA 07).

Now, it says no Friend Codes, but what does EA Nation Persona mean? From what i understand, it is EA's FCs....

No. Have any of you guys played any of the madden games on other consoles? EA nation is the same thing they use on other consoles. Wii will be using it too. Its the same across all platforms. We also with this news, have confirmation that 3rd parties do not have to use Nintendos FC system if they dont want to.  That is fantastic. In the past it was more like Nintendo to force their system on the other companies. This is great news.

Nintendo has been on a roll when it comes to corporate strategy recently. They've made a ton of great moves with almost no hiccups in the last year.

Wii simplicity/ease of use
Wii pricepoint
Significantly increased outreach to third party developers
Significantly more relaxed rules for 3rd party development
