If you count em up, I think Zelda is in the lead by a mile, as it should be. Even in this age of fanboyism and hatred, it's hard to deny the Zelda series, unless you're too young, and have never played it, which is the case for some of these posters I'm sure.

Ultima lead to a number of innovations
1: it basically created the western rpg
2: It again almost created the massively multiplayer genre by itself
3: All the light and dark morals in RPG's come from ultima
4: Used gaming as a form of social commentary

I don't understand. Are you implying that because Nintendo has the best series' of all time, that a thread asking that question, which has an obvious answer, is a Nintendo pride parade?

It's true. You're absolutely correct. Nintendo does have the best series' of all time and even asking that question is pandering to Nintendo fanboys because the answer is obvious, and the question never even needed to be asked. You are 100 percent correct sir. Only Final Fantasy comes close and not even it was able to keep up the quality of the Mario or Zelda series, to this very day.
