Forums - Nintendo Discussion - My impressions on Okami for Wii.

Having missed this game for the PS2,  i had to wonder what kind of game Okami is as i was purchasing a copy at my local gameshop. Why did the game have such lackluster sales ? Ddn't it recieve  heart warming review scores from basically everyone? Wasn't the game made by a well known publisher?

Being 4 hours into the game, i am in awe of this games graphical magnificence. The world, it's residents, its creatures, its nature are shown in such utter graphic splendor, which puts to shame most games on the current gen consoles. I personally adore Japan and their specific culture, which allows me to fully appreciate the inner world of Okami. Having wriiten all of the above, i'm loving this game. I find that the Wii mote does not always work the way you think it should, but in the end, it isn't that much of a chore or an obstacle, very well implemented imo.

I strongly encourage every Wii owner out there to get your own copy of the game, this is a masterpiece we're dealing with.

PS i'm going to bed, night-night.

Huh. Who would've thought that beggining anew in my real life would coincide with starting anew on vgchartz?

Any day now, the dollar will be worth less than 2 zloty......any day now.....and my life savings will be in total jepordy ;(.

I guess you're an alright fellow after all...

Still waiting for this to launch in Australia... then I'll be grabbing it.

Picked up Tomb Raider in the meantime. I *was* quite impressed with the game - controls, graphics, etc - but now that I'm about 15% in - its becoming quite boring, and stale.

So, Okami... bring it on.

Is the PS2 or Wii version better? I don't have PS2, but I will eventually. I'd rather grab Wii because I can play it now, but if its alot worse...

^ Tomb Raider Anniversary? I stopped playing that game too cuz it became boring..

And I agree with Menago KF everyone should get Okami.

I prefer the Wii controls, but only if you are experienced with using the Wiimote.   If not they'll frustrate you.

I only own the PS2 version btw.

Huh, I thought you said you were going to buy it. Liar!

Hawkeye: They're pretty much the same. I'm sure the PS2 version is cheaper buy if you have a Wii, but that version.

I'm so glad I bought the game. About 8 hours in and i'm loving every last part of it. Too bad this game didn't sell well.. I would have loved to see an Okami 2.

Ya and buy the game.

I stopped at the same point in TR:A.  I love the game, but I wanted to knock out some other titles before I came back to it.

@ OP - I have Okami, but I have yet to play it.  I'm waiting for the dog days of summer before I break it out.  I'm really hoping for a drought so I can catch up.  I have a crazy Wii game backlog I need to chizzle down.
