Forums - Sales Discussion - Wall Street analysts comments on the NPD v VGChartz debate

I'm pretty sure Meister is the same guy that pops up any time there is a public article on VGchartz. He sounds almost exactly the same, and uses the same arguments every time. I'm surprised he didn't call ioi a sociopath again.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Then is it possible for NPD to have its own anti-VGC Force? Employees who, on their free time (or possibly even part of their work now) stalk the corners of the internet, pouncing on all positive articles about VGC with the intent of damage control?

Meister = David Riley of NPD, my best friend. That man just keep going on and on with the same old rubbish.

thought so. Is that the guy that hangs out on gaf too? Or does he just stalk random pro-chartz articles?

I wonder if NPD has lost customers over the availability of free data from VgChartz. I can see why meister must be a tad bit upset.

Nice, i always enjoyed the site and I am glad that it is getting more respect. The numbers here are pretty good for something that is not a true company.

Wow! This is just awesome reference, and it should really boost the credibility of vgchartz. Not among the neogaffers, mind you, but among those who need sales numbers for professional use, and that's just friggin' mindblowing! Big thumbs up for ioi and the team, and of course all of us forum posters, 'cause we got a mention too ;)

Everybody needs to see this article, digg it:

I had an interesting conversation with David Riley once.

Not going to go into it, but he seemed pretty apprehensive at best when I sought some corrections on some numbers which were actually theirs, but used in the wrong context. He finally gave way.

Well done.

I think the NeoGaf forums are going to explode. I suppose we can expect some of them to come here and start a few dodgy threads.

I doubt it.

They'll just collectively plug their ears and go, "La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la!"
