Of Course, Hardcore gamers go for all types of games.

The "Casual Jock" on the other hand, thinks he's hardcore but in reality, thinks that any games outside of his chosen genres (Sports, Racing and Uber-mainstream Titles) are a waste of time.

My theory is that ever since the end of Halo 2 which I'm positive pissed off many gamers, people have been anticipating Halo 3 just to finish off the damn plot and kill the prophet. Well...thats why I borrowed Halo 3 anyway.

you have to understand the fact that halo3 was released a year before. I don't think it did poorly than halo 3 at all. Because Metal Gear Solid 4 sold way more than halo 3 in japan not only first day but probably a lifetime. Metal Gear Solid4 did great. Besides how could it do poorly when their wwas so much hype and it was a worldwide release. halo 3 didn't have a worldwide release.

lol? they have about the same metacritic and gamerankings score and MGS4 actually scored better at the biggest reviews sites (IGN + Gamespot)

MGS' score hasn't finished dropping yet.  Halo 3 had a very high average score at this point in its life and it eventually slid all the way down to above 93%.  I think MGS 4 will probably slide its way down into the 80s before it is all said and done.

They better enable the feature soon because MGS4 deserves to be in the 90%+ range IMO
