Graphically I'd say Crysis is easily the winner, the development team wouldn't need to use low res textures here and there to fit everything into a small memory footprint so there are alot of nitpicking things you could have a go at in MGS4. Crysis devs also have the other joy of having a greatly more powerful gpu, Higher resolutions and obtain benefits from SLI configurations too.


Althought I like my graphics, gameplay rules at the end of the day so its simple really. Whichever one is the most fun to play is the best game overall. that really depends on what you want from a tripple A action game.


Re: the litttle image with the bridge realistically falling. Looks neat, but yeah doesn't _have_ to be done in real time. I'd say a few objects are dynamically done via the cell's SPEs and the core structure would most likely just be a stored animation generated on high end pcs with nothing much else better todo.

in the graphics alone department  crysis has abit of advantage on high-very high settings(which it has over every single game on market)

@  Leo-J I thought you were talking about highest settings. High isn't the highest. Ultra High is. Here is a pic of crysis in Ultra High. The game looks far better in motion btw. 

 Now show me a far cry 2 pic for the ps3 and 360 that looks better. The pc version doesn't even look better.

 IT can't run on a console. If it does it will look like gtaIV? This is becaue crysis is a sandbox game. Not to mention how much the physics ware down the hardwre. So no high settings. That killzone 2 gif is nothing compared to what ssj12 posted, and here is another eample of crysis' physics.

I thought the PS3 was very good at physics? Due to the CELLS multiple SPUs, but 0-O dam..

Also the reason GTA 4 looks like it did wasnt because of the consoles limit, but because of the disc space needed to create the game, farcry 2 is also a sandbox game that looks far better than GTA 4.

The cell was good for physics 3 years ago. Now the cell is far inferior to pc cpus. Not to mention that the cell is running in-order while all pc cpus since the pentium 2 were running in an out of order excustion, which isn't advicable for applications. It causes far mroe delay when processing.So for most code you shoudl cut the clock speed of the cell in half. It also loses some of its advantage in multi threading in this. I would say as a processor for gaming the cell is just as good as the xenon, but as a processor for other things it surpasses many modern pc cpus. For the cell being good for physics, out of all of the consoles yes, but compared to pc cpus not at all. This is without factoring the use of physics cards.

Since the pc is so great and all, what other game can you guys show me that's so amazing graphics wise? i haven't a played a pc games in three years, dont mind my ignorance.

No, I need actual evidence of this information, Saying its far inferior to PC cpus is a lie. Also saying its as powerful as the XENOS is false.

 We have discussed that too, and some of us agree that the game is very mediocre... so there wasn't no need to keep arguing about the gameplay, so whats your point???
