Just went to Best Buy today and happened to have my DS with me and noticed they have a download station there now. So there was a bunch of crap options to choose from like Shrek and Pirates demos and a PBR Wii trailer somehow. Anyway they had Picross demo on there with four puzzles and let me just tell you the interface for this thing is awesome. I'm way addicted to all types of number puzzles and this has been one of my favorite types recently but the problem with pencil and paper versions is if you're filling in a lot of blocks it really wears on both the paper and the pencil and takes a lot of time. No such problem on the DS. No erasing issues either. Though there doesn't seem to be any note-taking capability at least in the demo version the puzzles usually aren't the type you use trial-and-error for, but rather just keep scanning the puzzle until you find the boxes you can mark on or off. I've heard the final game allows you to draw your own pictures to get them turns into puzzles and send them back and forth to people and download fresh puzzles online, too. Anyway obviously I'm psyched about this game. Now someone just needs to bring over a huge hard Kakuro collection and I'll be all set!!
