PS3 it`s not selling bad(only low). It`s selling good, like PS2 did first year.
If ps3 will sell less then 5 mln, by the end of this year, then yeah, ps3 is not doing good.

PS2 in first 6 month in japan made 2,5 Mln. with 300$ price.
PS3 in first 6 month in japan+usa made 2,4 Mln. with 600$ price

PS2 in another 6 month made 8 mln. worldwide with price 300$.
PS3 in another 6 month have to make 7 mln. worldwide with 600$ price.

1,5-2 for japan, 2,5-3 mln. for usa, 2-2,5 mln. for other.

November-December may make 2 mln. in usa and 2 mln. in other + 1 mln. in japan. That would be 5 mln. and 2 mln during june-october, i don`t se a problem.

I honestly think that the deciding factor of the PS3 maybe this holiday season. If anyone else agrees or disagrees please tell me.

You don't see a problem? I see a problem... 2 millions in 5 months is about 92k consoles per week, while the PS3 is doing less than 50k a week lately.

Well I think the PS3's may have already been decided -- I think the way I'd put it is this: I feel it's unlikely that the PS3 will win this generation. If it falls even farther behind this Christmas, instead of making up some ground, then I would say it qualifies as extremely, highly unlikely that the PS3 will win this generation.

Or put differently, I already think the PS3's chances are slim. If it struggles at Christmas, it's chances are basically zero. So yes, I kinda agree :p

the fact of the matter is the ps2 was the best selling console of all time so the expectations were high for the ps3... sony handled alot of things wrong so far.. the price should not have been 600 U.S. dollars. they should have had at least a one AAA post launch game released during its 1st 7 months but they didnt.. they have been building momentum in the right direction as of late but will it be enough?? i dont think so.. the wii will overtake the 360 later this year leaving the ps3  to fight for 2nd with the 360.. . im not just gonna bash sony on this comment im gonna be fair and bash microsoft too.. the 360 supposedly sold 10 mill at the end of 2006 but obviously it didnt.. sales have been slower than expected microsoft orginally said they were gonna ship 15 million by june2007.. buy they changed it to 12 million and probably wont do that this month... microsoft should have had a better plan for the japanese market but they did not.. which is killing them right now over there..

my point is that each console has had its ups and downs.. the ps3 has had alot of downs.. in my opinion its because of lack of games.. 360 was in a similar position last year even when it wasnt supply constrained.. i know because it sucked last year waiting for GOW.. or Vegas.. but we'll see this holiday will be interesting.. thats when the battle begins... round 1 is in august..there will be no more excuses who will come out victorious??

Crazzyman, that doesn't seem a bit off to you? You think that, because the PS3 is doing about as well in the US and Japan, plus the Euro launch, as the PS2 did in just Japan, then it'll do as well as the PS2 did worldwide, with its own US and Euro launches, in the next six months?
