similar to your last "prediction" thread in that is is vastly implausable.

I will ignore 1st day sales and concentrate on week 1.

Japan: 300-400k
Europe/other: 400-500k
Americas: 200-300k

1st week sales: 900-1200k

Max 1500k if it suprises me in America.

PS3 hardware will be lucky if it manages 300k WW never mind 500k. I expect more like 200-250k

Considering it has been confirmed that in Japan first day sales of the game is 300k without the bundles your estimation is off. Japan will at least be 600 - 700k for first week.


That's a little bold. No PS3 game has doubled it's first day sales yet, or so I've been told, and what, you think the bundle will move 100,000 units of PS3 in Japan, effectively multiplying regular PS3 sales by a factor of 10?

 

I'd go 500-600, sure, but 600-700 would be spectacular. 


 well y-koron confirmed 300k bundles so 300k + 300k = 600k. If a second shipment comes in before the end of the week expect more.

 

Basically expect the full 600k MGS4 shipment game + bundle sold out.

i'don't know why anyone are hoping for the bundle to be important in the sales numbers. For what i've been tell by our Sony store representant, EB/Gamestop and Wal-Mart in Canada have received an allocation for june of 2000 bundles each and that's for the whole country. That's represent 6 bundles for my store and 8 for The Wal-mart in front of us

And they intend to ship an other allocation of the same amount on unit at the beginning of July and that's all. It's seems they produce a really limited amount of the bundle and I don't expect U.S. to have a much bigger allocation.

So I don't think the bundle while have much impact on the sales number.

Well, MGS4 is very much the best-selling game this generation, excluding GTA4. But GTA4 was multiplatform and it was the hype that sold so many copies. Everyone knows GTA4 was not nearly as good as it was said.

usa 250-300k
first week 900-1050k
ps3 sales 180-230k
