The consumer will lose, this only benefits maybe MS.

And 19 million X360 owners, by far the largest installed base of a HD console.

Did it ever occur to people that it might be a good thing for gamers that JRPGs are being released to a bigger audience? Last gen most of them were exclusive to the PS2, now they are on both consoles.

Geez... the arrogance of Playstation-fans.

 Talking about the Japanese owners....

Its worth mentioning that surely LO was a profitable venture. It has sold in the regionof 750k and should break past 1m at some point in its life cycle.

Blue Dragon, which is my opinion far was a far inferior game actually sold OK in Japan.

If M$ sell 1m 360's in Japan this generation then I think that will be a good achievement, all it will take is 1 or 2 games to create the boost they saw when Blue Dragon was released and then this is within reach by Christman 2009. I think Japan would also react well to a possible Slim 360 revision which MS might aim to release by the end of 2008 / definitely before Xmas 2009.

Im looking forward to all these JRPG's, I just hope they are as good as LO.

LO was a game I thought would make me buy a 360 but I didn't get into it at all, which was a big surprise. I may have to buy a 360 if a PS3 version of SO4 isn't announced.

what jrpg announcement are we talking about, if its the square ones

its only 1 exclusive on 360 and the other 2 will deffo be on ps3 in the end.

if you put ff13 and ffVersus, thats 2 exclusives on ps3 from square, and only 1 exclusive on 360, the others will be multiplat.

the new tales of vesp will also end up multiplat, but i doubt like sonata that it will get a worldwide release simply because it wont sell.

theres also disgea, white knight and valkye chronicles to look forward to a worldwide release on ps3.

so af far as im concerned 360 is just getting one exclusive i think its infinite discovery from square.

Seek - We're talking actual games, and not mere fanboy speculations.
Tales of Verspria is confirmed to the 360 this year. The PS3 doesn't even have a version confirmed at all. 1 Point MS, 0 Points Sony.
The Last Remnant is confirmed to be launching on the 360 before the PS3 this year.
Star Ocean 4 is confirmed on the 360. It is not confirmed on the PS3.
Stop trying to justify PS3 JRPGs, because it's not working. We all know what ones are confirmed to be on the PS3, and are fine with that. 360 fans know better than to hold their breath on games. And look at ES for proof as to what holding your breath does: It's coming out 1yr+ later in 1 region...Definately not a major deal in any respect.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
