p.s. about defeating, let just wait and then we will see. It doesn`t depends on what we think will win, only time will show a real winner. So it`s pointless for now. However, E3 only after 1 month, soon we will see some potential, and probably will make some new opinion or maybe not. :)

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

Personally, I think the Playstation 3 seems to be doomed. It's the Sega Dreamcast all over again. In fact, it might not even sell more than the Sega Dreamcast, if it dies early enough.

But hey, there are a handful of websites that still think there's a chance that the Playstation 3 will pull itself out of this mess, but I doubt that would happen. Sony screwed up too much. Also, some of the newer websites I did find were probably just Sony fan boy websites, which usually don't mean that much.

Wow thats weird. You'd think ps3fanboy.com and justplaystation3.com would have a bunch of negative news about the PS3. Huh.

Priceless :D I don't know, I always say: never say never as the future is unpredictable. All before you know it Sony will be back as leader in the market and Nintendo with the WII will basically been forgotten. Miracles, they do happen from time to time...or disaster, however you want to put it...
