Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I got my Wii: What games should I buy?

You'd want to get SSX Blur... It's great! It only has a curve in mastering the game! But besides that it's really good!

Also The godfather: Blackhand edition! Great sandbox game (Those controlls really work!)

DBZ: Budokai tenkaichi game... Who wouldn't want to do the Kamehameha himself?

Without knowing more about "somone like you"'s taste, it's hard to recommend anything... That said, I agree with most of the recommendations above. Some games obviously are not nearly as good without extra controllers and someone to play with (wii play, raving rabbits, mario party, smooth moves...)

There is a lot of great stuff coming out between now and the end of the year... RE 4 wii edition (if you haven't already played RE 4), ghost squad, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (probably best multi-player) to name a few...

If you liked the Paper Mario games of yore, the new one is just as great if you dig the real-time combat (the biggest difference). Imagine mixing Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door and Super Mario Bros. (NES), then stop imagining and buy the game. The 2D-3D flip element, and all the "Pixl" skills add a lot to the game. Smart and fun.

Trauma Center: SO surprised me with its originality. It's very very hard, though. You will lose patients, and patience too if you don't have enough to spare. Me, I loved the challenge, and it's a game unlike anything out there, so that counts for a lot. Recommended.

Aside from Zelda and Wii Sports, that's all I've played so far... still working on SPM in fact.

Prediction: Wii passes 360 in US between July - September 2008. (Wii supply will be the issue to watch, and barring any freak incidents between now and then as well.) - 6/5/08; Wow, came true even earlier. Wii is a monster.

besides zelda get trauma center and excite truck

Ah Trauma Center that nice? Forgot to buy the Japanese version as I own a JP WII, but doubting now to buy it or not as I'm a real WII whore now :D

Excite Truck is really fun! Speedy racegame which even makes people enjoy who normally doesn't have a thing for race games. Rabbids Party (Raving Rabbids) is super fun! Really made me completely surprised about how hilarious the game is. Paper Mario is absolutely a must have if you enjoy platform games with RPG elements and of course the little plumber Mario. Well Pokemon Battle Revolution will soon be released in the US if I'm not mistaken, must have if you like arena battle games and got Pokemon Pearl / Diamond. Fire Emblem also a must have as a real Fire Emblem fan. Swing Golf Panya (not sure how it's called in the US / EU) I thought it was a lot of fun as well. You really need to get the hang of the game and Elebits is a cute and nice shooter game. I also really like Sonic. Got the JP version myself with the great Japanese voice actings and except of the sound which can be very irritating when repeating itself all the time, it's a speedy and fun game and also very beautiful game. Oh yes EU version I've heard from also has the JP voices so I assume the US version as well?

Well Zelda you've got and Wario is a fun game as well especially with more players. Big Brain Academy is nice but not too great ;)

I haven't got these games (yet) but I guess others will also say get Mario Strikers and Mario Party 8 or not?

Edit: Frituurman, sounds really Dutch or Dutch from Belgium :D

THE NETHERLANDS

Iv eheard godfather is good, But honestly, i really liked Red steel despite the bad reviews, it was a really fun game,i liked the graphics too!

1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
2. Super Paper Mario
3. Wii Play with a wiimote.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Maybe I should have said it had a puzzle style. Most puzzles are pretty slow paced at first, then get insane at harder levels.
Anyway, I still can´t understand why that game wasn´t advertised more.

Yea it is kinda similar to an action/puzzle game. And yea it should've been advertised better, it used the pointer really really well.
