They give out reviews based on what fans want. As I told everyone with their Haze review, even if they do happen to give MGS4 the score it deserves it doesn't matter. They still freely admit to giving out reviews based on what fans want.

When it came out that Gamespot did something similar everyone had their pitchforks handy, but since Famitsu is Japanse people are more forgiving for some odd reason.

Most people believe that Famitsu scores games based on public opinion. They are, in fact, and have admitted as much several time.

However, most english speaking reviewers do the same thing if they realize this or not.

7 perfect scores isn't a lot, though.

I don't get why people even post review scores on VGChartz. It's a given that 50% of users will immediately dismiss them. The general consensus on review scores seems to be, "They're more trouble than they are worth."
