If you don't agree that it's not Pre-Rendered now then I don't know what will convince you and you're deluded.

Like I said, it's all pre-rendered except for the helicopter scene (and possibly some of the intros, I really wasn't paying a lot of attention at that point). I don't know why you're being so stubborn about it. Games often use pre-rendered scenes because it just does look better than in game scenes. I imagine next you're going to tell me all the FFXIII scenes are in game too.

Also, I have been a cinematic designer on a project (don't bother asking, you probably haven't heard of it ) and I have a pretty good way of picking these things out.


Read the rest of my posts... it's definitely NOT real time...

There are heaps of subtle details that I can pick up throughout the trailer also.


 Never meant to mean that it was in real time, that would be even sillier than thinking that's not pre-rendered, my little story is developers always pull little tricks to make their products seem better than they are.  They don't always go as far as Valve went, but they always do something.

As for whether or not the trailer is prerendered, I think perhaps he uses in-game models, but I'm betting there's plenty of additional particles and such that isn't in-game.

 When they make the character models (or any normal mapped model), they make 2 versions: a super high poly version to make the normal maps and the lower poly in game version.  Compare the models in the helicopters to the models in the rest of the trailer.

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.
