What's wrong with full-body motion and FPS? It could be a good pairing if done right. Not only will you have to jump in real life to jump in game, you'd have to duck in real life to duck in game. If you want to lean like in Gears of War, you'd have to lean in real life. It could be cool. People who aren't in very good shape might have a hard time though.

thats mainly what i was trying to get across. my friends who own 360's are by no means in great shape so i dont see them jumping on board with this...of course thats only a couple out of millions of people.

If it wasnt for MGS4, the PS3 is unnecessary
This is about a set of cameras recognizing your 3D position and movements. The Surface coffee table (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Surface) works with a similar setup (I'm not talking about the touch screen here, but the cameras), and MS have said that it will take a couple of years before this shows up in consumer products. Might happen in the next XBox, if there ever will be one. The strength of the Wii's setup is that it's robust and usable today.
Hardcore gaming is a bubble economy blown up by Microsoft's $7 $6 billion losses.
Microsoft needs to find their own blue ocean instead of trying to go the same route as Nintendo. There's no way they can out-Wii the Wii without alienating their fanbase, so it'd be best for them to try to find a different segment of the market to expand.

Dude, I can run a 5-mintue mile and i'd probably get a little tired doing all of that. No really, start jumping and ducking for a few minutes.

I agree 100%. Instead of going and attacking Nintendo's blue ocean, they should work on something else. i think that they already have a kind of Blue ocean. Online. If they push even more than what they have now, making online communities and stuff just for videogames (more than live) they could own the Online side so much, that it would be thier own blue ocean, like Nintendo and handhelds.
Also, I remember reading somewhere that Nintendo is expecting thier blue ocean to eventually turn red, and they are getting prepared for it in some ways. Nintendo is expecting this kind of stuff.
