I'm really looking forward to this movie. I might even try to go see it Day One (which is something I haven't done since The Empire Strikes Back). Anyone else looking forward to this or is the general concensus that it will be a steaming pile of crap?

Batman Begins was a good movie so this should be more than decent. Especially compared to the hilariously bad 'Batman & Robin'.

Same writer, same director, same actors. So it's definately not gonna suck. Actually, I'm really looking forward to it as well. I think it will be great.

This will be probably the best Batman movie made after the fall of the Bat, with Joel Schumacher...

Yes. But I would be just as interested in seeing this movie if he hadn't shuffled off his mortal coil prematurely. After Brandon Lee died I was more interested in seeing The Crow. It's a shame about Heath and Brandon.

I'm definatly going to see this one.

I went to Indiana Jones this evening and off course the batman trailer was before the premiere - even the girls wanted to see the new batman movie.

Anyone else feels the shivers roling down the spine when you hear the Jokers Cackle?

I plan to see this on opening day myself... Although I must admit I wasn't sold on Heath Ledger as The Joker until I saw one of the trailers, just before Mr. Ledger's accidental overdose... Real shame that the guy couldn't live to see his full potential realized...

I think it's arguable that Heath had already realized some measure of "full potential" with Brokeback Mountain. Personally I think the Joker is one of those meaty roles that a good actor can sink his chops into. Nicholson did a very good job with it first time around and now Heath Ledger's performance looks likes it's the first realization of the "Frank Miller" Joker. After seeing the trailers I was amazed.
