I think a Metacritic score might be best. Have it fixed.

I have an idea. How about a system where we just vote for if we like a game or not then just show the percentage. Would that be better or not?

I don't think a 1/0 system would be much better, nor a digg/bash like popularity system. Although I haven't got any ideas for something that will improve matters, unfortunately.

Games database is a great idea but members score system is a big mistake... It's totally biased. Totally. I agree with Dolla Dolla that Metacritic score is the best option.

Why should the game scores at VGChartz not reflect the opinions of the VGChartz community? If I want Metacritic scores, I can surf to Metacritic.

the main problem with the average low scores is that games that one or two people have rated tend to float to the top until they have the "anti-fanboy" ratings thrown at them. The top 10 is usually full of crappy titles with 9 and 10 ratings.

perhaps only games with 5 or more ratings should appear in the top 30.

The other major problem is less popular games (trauma center, advance wars, grandia II, etc.) are less likely to have enough voters to offset people purposely voting it down. This makes the lesser known titles drop down the list and only the big popular titles at the top.

I do agree that we shouldn't be using metacritic's data.

Hey I don't know if it has been said but please don't be "FANBOYS" when it comes to rating the games don't give a PS3 game a Zero just cause you love the Wii and vice versa. Thank you
