Is that like the best Wii game cover ever or am I just biased towards guilty gear? lol

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

This is awesome.

I was going to go down the WW software shipments charts, and ran into a problem on the first title. Super Mario Bros. was released in 1985 in Japan, but I can't list a game before 1986.

Also: for release dates on every game Nintendo has ever published (though please don't rip off their content), go to Nintendo Database: http://nindb.classicgaming.gamespy.com/index.html

I just got the Tetris release dates from there... And added/fixed some info...?

You also need to add more genre categories--notably "Puzzle" and "Platformer."

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

The problem I find is that I go to some effort of putting in descriptions, colours, pictures, etc for multiple really great games (Zelda TP, Advance Wars DS, Animal Crossing WW, Grandia II, Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, etc), and they just get ranked down to oblivion by ignorant people who clearly have not even played the game (Resident Evil Wii has 60 votes already, yet it's not even released outside Japan!

It does make feel like I've wasted my time writing in these descriptions and hunting down the box art and release dates when no one is even going to see them.

Database is great !

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is on it's way to become a millionseller (0.89)   Disappointing performance in USA though.

Will the fanboys stop lowering the scores? ****ing fanboys are ruining the database

Yeah. That is my only beef with it. But w/e. I spent a long time doing Sonic SR and, though I did not expect it to be like 8 or above, I certainly did not forsee it at around 4. Geez. All that effort.

that's terrible. It's clear that people are rating games poorly that they have never even played. This is ridiculous, no game has a score above 9 (unless it's a crappy game that has one 10 vote) and fantastic games with metacritic ratings above 90% are dropping down to the mid 7s.

Yeah. It ticks me off as well. But, the solution would be to either remove the voting system or, (and I dont know if voting is already like this) limit the voting to only people with 200+ posts. Otherwise, just live with it.

It is discouraging, but it is still in its early stages.

i say we just get selected members to vote for the games b/c its really crappy and is making me mad......or hell just take a score from a couple different sites

Well, selected members would not be fair either. If anything, we should just have the score it has on metacritic and/or gamerankings instead.

If it is selected members, it may be more biased...
