I'd say it was a fad in the sense that people are buying it based on hype and most people won't play it for that long.
It's certainly not one of those games you will be nostalgic about in a few years time.

No one can argue that its not selling, however.

The Wii and Wii Fit are both gimmicky fads created by Nintendo to take our money again. You would think they would've learned after that purple lunchbox called the Gamecube flopped. Now they're just getting desperate.

At this rate, the Wii is gonna end up like my Furby, rotting in the garage. Maybe they should find stronger duct tape and put 2 N64s together instead of the scotch tape they used to put those 2 SNESs together. Any game I make could sell 3.5 million with all these stupid casuals around. I could go MacGyver and put some paper clips together that could produce more graphics that the Wii ever could.......

i probably should have specified in non japanese markets....as i rarely understand why the japanese do anything so cant even begin to determine what might be in japan.
