RE5 was cancelled a few months ago.

I don't actually see the point in making PS3 exclusives right now. Even if you want it to sell zillions, it won't pass 360 this year and exclusives will not sell 10x more in 2 years than they do now.
Making exclusives for 360 has made sense and still does, though soon it won't make sense either.

Why would a company cut it's revenues by half when the systems sell equally?

The only exclusives that we should see in the future are Wii exclusives, the rest multiplat.... at least that is what i'd do if I were in charge of those projects.

OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

I think its better when consoles have exclusive games because its usually the exclusive games which show off the power of the console. Come on lets be really honest now, if GeOW 2 or another x360 exclusive was originally going to be multiplat the game would not have looked as good as it did because half of the development time would have to go on the other console(s) aswell.

Pluss because of the ps3's architecture, the engines used to build the games for the ps3 need to be specially adapted.

If a game is going ps360 the ps3 will tend to lose out on performance being as the cell is hard enough to program for without having to create an engine that works with the very adaptable x360 aswell.

For example, a developer makes a game called XXX. From the start its going to be multiplat. They build an engine that works for both consoles but dont do the tweaks needed for the ps3.

The finnished product looks worse on both consoles being as the ps3 was made harder to program for because of said engine and the x360 could not be fully polished because of the time spent on the ps3.

Last thought, what multiplat game looks better then the upcoming exclusives to each console.

For ALL of the PS3 MGS4 to appear on the 360, it would have to be on AT LEAST 8 dvds....

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

MGS 4 : Microsoft Game Studio 4 ????

who cares about MGS 4 only PS people the others don't really care..... a port of that game to 360 wouldn't help it a lot to make more sales than it will on PS 3... and honestly I don't even think it will sell that great if you compare it to the precedent releases.... don't get me wrong it will sell good but not as good as it use to be..... and i'm not sure konami will do a lot of profit on that ne looking on how much they invested in that game.....

What? A Sony fanboy begging for a 360 port of one of the most important PS3 titles?

I don't really see any need for that at the moment. PS3 is doing better than X360 (although its userbase is still smaller) and probably better than Konami expected last year. MGS4 is getting hyped very much, it has also recieved a few great reviews (major sites are still missing though) and its pre-orders probably exceed one million worldwide.

Also, a port could be a difficult thing to do. 50 GB isn't something that's easy to fit on a DVD9, even with the sounds compressed. It would be two discs at least, and I believe it would be more. And I believe making the port wouldn't be cheap either since I believe it's been well optimized for PS3. I'm sure there are some very interested X360 users though so it might actually sell well, unlike MGS2.

However, my main point is that while they would make money, they only need to make enough money, whatever that means. Kojima doesn't seem to want it on X360 and I believe his opinion will be respected unless the game fails which I highly doubt (although it depends on Konami's objectives with this game). Even if MGS4 was to be released on X360, it couldn't possibly be a better version. It would probably be somehow cut version. Not equally good (but still good, probably).

And no, we don't want some GeoW on PS3. We want Uncharted multiplayer. Mass Effect might be good but we're getting FFXIII, which is probably going to be better.

It will be have no doubt

how dare you suggest FF is a "RPG" of quality in the first place... it's more like "the story of which you are the hero" nothing much RPG about it.. once again I barely consider any JRPG being RPGs....it's just big "good" stories (good in "" because you have to like the genre, I do in some cases but certainly not in the past couple FF in general with maybe an exception or 2)

yeah it's flame bate but it's my opinion
