Developers care about two things. Making money, and making something that has never been done before.
if your a software developer, and want to make a great living, the last place you go is into the gaming industry. The medical field, or consulting work will make you a lot more. You do it because you are passionate about what you do.
The reason games are made on the PS3 and 360, and not the more profitable Wii, is because the power of the systems allows developers to make something new and exiting.
If it was all about money, all games going forward would be Wii games.
It's not all about the money.
