RE and RE2 are where the special editions come into play. For example there are three versions of RE1 on the list that add up to roughly VGC's total. #5 + #34 Dual Shock Edition + #41 Director's Cut = 5.08M.

Capcom, and other publishers, count each SKU as an individual title and each region is a different SKU. Then you have a new SkU for Special Editions, Direcotrs Cuts, Dual Shock editions (RE series mostly), budget releases, etc...

It adds up quickly.

can we seriously update RE4Wii sales? It's been pretty obvious for quite a long time that's it's been quite overtracked.

120 MM games and only 28 Mil? wow. the series should just die.

Nintendo should do this.

The latter for MD was better ( read more quickier ).

The difference in sales however reflects the fact that SF2 was thought exclusive on SNes in the beginning.

Also a lot of SF2 sales were from Japan were MD userbase was even lower than Nec's PcEnigne.

EDIT: Capcom's Aladin for Snes was a good game but nowhere near the excellence of Aladin for MD ( well this version was one  of the better MD release ever ! ) 

I find it disturbing that Onimusha: Warlords did better than the rest in the series.... oh wells, I'm waiting for another Dino Crisis game any moment now.
