Capcom has released complete series sales figures for all of its biggest franchises, as well as life-to-date sales figures for all of its platinum games.

 

Want to know how many copies of Street Fighter II for SNES Capcom has sold, which Resident Evil game has sold the most copies, or which franchise is the most successful in the company’s history?

As part of its recent impressive fiscal year results and ahead of its 25th year anniversary in June, the Japanese publisher has released a host of revealing software sales figures.

As of May 22, 2008, the Resident Evil series of games, comprising of 50 titles, had notched up 34,500,000 sales, nearly seven million more than the Mega Man series and almost ten million more than the Street Fighter franchise.

The company has also seen 46 of its titles go platinum, with Street Fighter II for the Super NES leading the way with 6,300,000 units sold.

Monster Hunter Freedom is also overtracked, but Freedom 2 is spot on.

Resident Evil 4 (PS2) is also, Wayyy overtracked.

Original DMC is also overtracked greatly

DMC3 overtracked



Note how special editions are counted seperately, DMeisterJ. I think that might explain why some of the older games are tracked poorly. I don't know if all the games you mentioned had special editions though.

RE4 wii didn't

Neither did MHF

And neither did original DMC

DMC3 did though.



When is the dates for the sales anyway? End of last year, somewhere this year? It does hurt to see Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition so low. Maybe time to put RE4 Wii back to 1.6m or lower?
