I haven tplayed dirt but motorstorm sucks you in, realism to boot, also what about grand turismo????
Dirt has better graphics than Motorstorm. Best racer I have seen so far.

Mud effects are better in Motorstorm.
Anyways, more courses are coming to motorstorm soon, as well as vehicles.
nice bad picture of motorstorm. XD One thing I noticed about DIRT, is it really dont have much... going on. The levels are blah, bland, and blah. Motorstorm... despite being a desert and very little... grassy... plant-life... looks on par. What I love about motorstorm, are the arcade realistic racing physics. It's real, but it's not a sim.

Real ? Seriously ?
A heavy truck that start faster than a pick up and go faster than a buggy in mud ? Cars that fly over because of a small rock ? And I'm not even talking about the moto physics... Seriously, it's a funny game, but nothing realistic here.
And by the way, DIRT is nowhere near a simulation. It also has good physics but you realize its arcade as soon as you use the brakes (which is a mistake cause you mostly don't even need them).
The bigger question is this: What exactly gives one game the "crown"? Motorstorm has some pretty nice graphics for sure, but does that make it the king? How about total sales once Dirt has been out long enough to sell through... If Dirt sells more will it be King? It has to be the all around experience -- i.e. graphics, fun factor, and general long-term entertainment value...

you really dont know heavy racing rigs then...my friend has one... its fun as hell. Ton of power behind it.

Heavy Racing are mostly on tracks.
Truck are also present in rally and in this case, cars are faster. When a car do a scratch time of around 7 minutes, truck do around 9. Around 20% difference.
Tons of power, right, but also tons of weight, and in sand or mud, it's not always the best thing.
