Honestly dude, yeah there have been some multi-platform releases, but those are based on the movies/tv francises. Whereas KH is a game that requires a console that, in the past two consoles, have greatly supported RPGs. Eventhough Nintendo and Square have resolved their differences from the past, they still don't get the playstation success title i.e. current FFs and KH. Squares RPGs have been successful on the playstation and they will remain to be successful. Like i siad, i wouldn't count out a spinoff. But to believe that a game like KH ( a game that supports a generous amount of gameplay, cut sequences, and the much needed space to carry all the great voiceovers) could be made possible on the Wii, is kind of streching it. Granted they have the userbase but i dont think that the wii has the power or disc compassity to run a FULL length KH. i mean cummon they could even make Link talk for LoZ:TP. As the matter of fact we dont know what most the nintendo characters voices sound like (other than the various grunts, sighs, and laughs we get to hear in the multitude of speech retardant games they have)

I hate to tell you this, but the PS2 has the same disc space as the Wii as the 360. They all use DVDs. The reason why Link doesn't talk is because Nintendo didn't want him to. I'll have to see if I can find the interview, but they state they're not ready for Link to talk yet and felt like players wanted it that way. Their characters not talking is also a design choice. Has nothing to do with space.

The Wii could run Kingdom Hearts. That's not really the problem. It's whether or not Square will forgo the graphics to make a profit. If they can't get out of that mindset (even though the Wii is more powerful than the PS2, so they could still get a graphic leap over their past games), then it won't come out on the Wii. That's pretty much the bottom line.

but would you serious buy a next gen game with last gen grafics?  i dont think that SE want to hold back a games potential like that.  i think that they will be more inclined to create a new game for the wii, so they dont change the user base of the already tried game.  creating  a game that was made for the wii's control system is one thing, but to uproot a game that has a perfectly fine overall setup and re-invent the game (so to speak) i think would be dumb on their part. besides porting games that already have a user base on one console to another usually doesn't go to well.

Agreed, to reinforce the point Darkness is trying to make, let me use Metroid Prime 3 as an example.  I don't know if you ever played MP1 and 2 but they are much larger game than KH.  MP3 will be on a larger disc size (a DVD) and will support voice acting, with an even LARGER plot and better graphics.  So disc size isn't an issue.  The issue is how import SE feels graphics are to the KH series.

But you're making an assumption now.  You are assuming that everyone who owned a PS2 and played KH went to the PS3.  I assure you that developers don't make the same assumptions (I for one am a big KH fan and don't intend on owning a PS3 this gen).  For example, Dragon Quest IX is on the DS, a radical change from the PS2.  Big name franchises move all the time.  That's just the nature of an every-changing industry like gaming.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I can care less about graphics. I would indeed buy Kingdom Hearts 3 on the Wii. My concern would be the gameplay, and as gamers, we should ALL be concerned about that. The Pirates of the Caribbean game has some of the best graphics out there, but the gameplay is horrible. What exactly did the graphics add if we have to live with poor framerates, and crappy gameplay? I honestly believe that if Kingdom Hearts was released on the Wii it would sell and sell well. Why? Because the "core" gamers on the Wii are starving for those kinds of games. Not only that, but it's an established franchise with a pretty loyal following.

DQX to 360

You gotta be kidding me man. That completely impossible. Same as KH. That has a lot of casual and girl appeal, which 360 doesn´t have.
The only way FFXIV isn´t on PS3, is that it is for the netx gen.
And as one guy mentioned, there are multiple KH projects. I believe, as I said before, that one will be for Wii, one for DS, and one for PS3.

Nah, FFXIV is going to the "Super Wii"  HAH, there's speculation but this kind of delusional fantasy comes from something else entirely.

I do see the multiple KH projects likely though.

IMHO, SE could move each to exclusives on each of the consoles.

DQX to 360, FF to PS3, KH3 to Wii.

Wow, I thought you were a level-headed and rational unbiaed person with more sense than most. Where the hell did this come from?

DQX will not come to 360, it would be the stupidest move SE could possibly make. FF might go 360 (exclusive or multiplat) due to its success outside Japan, but DQ series is Japan only and SE would be crazy to put it on the 360.

If they released one for each console it would be most likely as follows:

DQ: Wii, FF: 360, KH: PS3

I don't think that's very likely though. Most likely I think is:

DQ: Wii, FF: 360/PS3 multiplat, KH: Wii

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

Kingdom Hearts, from what I've seen of it, doesn't depend on the polys, the muscle of a console to really drive it. It's been mostly story and interaction between Square franchises and Disney icons. What part of that requires graphics again that the Wii can't handle? In all honesty, I can definitely see Kingdom Hearts going to Wii, or even Wii/360, with some added Live stuff and shinies for the 360. Or even all three systems. But I wouldn't suggest it impossible to come to the Wii.

Dragon Quest, most likely will go to the Wii, unless they want to make another portable version. I seem to recall Square having a talk about their friend codes system and trying to find fixes and ways around that, so I can imagine if they can implement that somehow in 9, and it proves to be a success, then I don't see why 10 wouldn't go to one of those two systems, because (as others have stated) Nintendo currently rules the roost in Japan.

Final Fantasy I think is their art project, where they go to use the cutting edge tools they possess, so I can see the next one sticking to the PS3, or at the least, PS3 with a 360 port down the road.... though we're talking this generation. And I doubt FF14 will hit the ground this gen unless it uses the Unreal engine or their own engine again to save the time. Final Fantasy is their go at 'painting the most visually impressive Japanese fantasy', so it'll probably stick around on whatever system's got the most visual gusto.

Kingdom Hearts is my most wanted game from Square Enix. You know how people say one game cant sell a console? Well at hate to say it but it can. I love the KH series. One of the best in gaming. Hopefully on the PS3.

People, stop saying KH3. There are multiple projects in the works. One is a Mickey based one ( Nomura said it like a month before, for handhelds), the other is a new series inside Kingdom Hearts, based in the Final Mix 2 trailer ( probably for PS3), and probably the real sequel to KH2, which will likely be on Wii, which, btw is far more powerful than PS2. Graphics won´t be a problem. I mean, check God of War II. That game was made in PS2. Wii, with the right focus, can do a lot better than that. Not next-gen but good enough for the biggest market of KH : disney fans, and japanese RPG fans.
