I was just reviewing my game collection, and I noticed that I have gotten 8 Wii games since I got Guitar Hero 3 in October, but GH3 is still the game I play most. Of those 8 games, Super Mario Galaxy was the only one that kept my attention for any considerable length of time. No More Heroes, Brawl, Zack and Wiki, and Metroid Prime 3 just sat there after I bought them because I was too busy playing Guitar Hero. I would dream about Guitar Hero, I would start moving my fingers while listening to guitar solos on the radio, and I would constantly have one of the songs stuck in my head. It has without a doubt been the most played game on my Wii. I know there are lots of games out there that can be addicting (Final Fantasy, GTA, WoW), and I was just wondering what you did to break the addiction.

I eventually just gave GH to my girlfriend for the Summer. Now I need to focus my intrests towards another game...Like Mario Kart Wii.

Assassin's Creed-it only took me a little less than 2 weeks to beat it

i seriously got addicted to WCW games when i was young, WCW mayhem on the ps1 had me hooked for ever. I played it everytime i put my console on.

I would buy a new game play it for a lil bit then WCW would make its way back into my console. The funny thing is i seen this game the other day alongside some other stuff from yester year.

I grabed the game put it into my pc and started playing it through me emulator, even though the graphics are know crap i played the game all day lol

I have now broken the disk in two to make sure i will never get addicted to it again

StarCraft and Diablo II both took over my life at one time or another. They're probably the reason I never got a PS2.

Gothic ... I played it all day and all night . I only stopped to eat and sleep a bit :o

Warcraft 3 : first online RTS for me

I was pretty addicted to FFXI. I tried WoW a few times (three total) but always came back to FFXI because it's just better (probably shouldn't have said that but oh well).

I would play at all hours of the day, morning, and night even though I had classes, I wrote scripts to let me know when a monster died (never used them for anything other than information gathering), a wrote a fishing bot and a farming bot (crawler silk) just to see if I could but never actually used them other than to just test them, wrote awesome macro scripts, and was just considered plain awesome at my main job (Summoner) and really good at any of the other mage jobs.

And the funny thing is that I never actually got SMN to 75 despite playing for something like three years. I got it as high as 72 or 73 (forget now) but starting at about 55-60 I started doing end game stuff with my linkshell and just rarely leveled.

Damn, I should have posted because now I want to play again.

Pokemon Silver was very addicting for me.

it's been a few years but... Ultima Online. No more mmorpgs for me.

I was pretty addicted to GTA 3 and Deus Ex. I missed a whole month of work because I was playing those two games.
