What makes you believe this? The same reviews who were also wrong on the powerslide mechanics?

But they weren't wrong.

The powerslide system had more depth in Double Dash.

No, it had not. Pressing twice to the left or right isn't any deeper than Mario Kart Wii's mechanics.

Yes it did. The system had more depth and was harder to master according to everyone but you.

I challenge you to provide us with a link to those people who know a lot about both games, yet say that MK:DD's powersliding had more depth to it. The reviewers we were talking about won't cut it, since they clearly don't fulfill the first condition.

If you can't provide us with such a link, you're clearly talking out of your ass to annoy everyone.

They don't fulfill the first condition...ok...according to who? You?

All the reviewers who were complaining about the altered powersliding were obviously comparing it to previous Mario Kart games, one of them being...wait for it....Double Dash.

What the hell do you think they were comparing it to? Gran Turismo? Honestly dude, I know you don't wanna get back into this debate.

They don't fulfill the first condition because they were often the same ones who couldn't even complete the 150cc championships. Also, they don't even mention how the new powersliding works, which makes us doubt they know it. Hey, I may be wrong, but until you send us a link of someone who fulfills those two conditions, you won't have proven anything. Just saying that those people exist doesn't prove they do.

To put it bluntly: Give some proof for us to discuss, or just shut up.

You are wrong and ironically the incompetent reviewers prove me right in this case. All of them didn't master the Wii mechanics and/or didn't even know how they work or else they wouldn't have to rely on the "The game depends too much on luck" excuse.

I'm sorry, but the whole world isn't wrong, you are.

And the game does depend on luck to some extent, as did the previous games, but that wasn't too much of an issue.

Time for a summary:

1. I have played and beat Mario Kart Wii as well as all previous MK games, I understand how the games work, I am good in all of them.

2. You haven't played Mario Kart Wii and you are solely relying on information given out by reviewers and users who either have no clue what they are talking about or are just trolling the game.

Who of us is more credible?

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

You do realise you're just repeating yourself?

This is the equivalent of what you just said - "I'm right, everyone else is wrong. Game reviews, user reviews, everyone. The End."

I'm just about done with this debate.

@Dragoon: Yes, you're trolling. The powerslide has more depht in MKWii, you can still get it work in the same fashion as before. And the 2 phase boost with karts is a nice addition.
The reviewers complain about the lack of snaking in the straights (which was shit anyways). In general the game has a lot more depht than the previous ones, i have owned the game since day after launch, and still get surprised realising new things about the game. One thing that had a big change is, that you can't you can't build up your racing strategy on using items tactically (the 12 player races contribute a lot to this), the tracks are extremely well balanced and how you should drive them, depends on what vehicle you chose (there's a lot of difference between different vehicles).

Actually even the "luck factor" have been reduced greatly, since getting certain items depends on your position even more than before. Besides, if you drive fast enough and get to run away from others, they can't catch you. 2-3 blue shells (which are the only ones that can hurt you, when having a decent lead) per race (depending on track) doesn't prevent you from winning, unless someone is skilled enough to catch you. Edit: And yes, Rol is more credible. You are reading reviews that are based on few hours of gameplay, before you learn how the game works, and when you read our posts, you're reading opinions of people, who each have as much gaming experience from the game, as all the reviews combined.

I'm just about done with this debate.

I couldn't access VGC for several hours, so I am a bit late with a reply. Anyway, like I said right at the start of this debate, the easiest way to find out who is right would be to actually play the game. Just let me know when you get access to a Wii with Mario Kart and I'll show you that skill is the most important factor in the game.

Now, if all of you are done derailing this topic and throwing feces at each other, can we get back on the original subject?

On-topic:  I think Nintendo would be foolish to change their direction now.  They've stumbled upon the pot of gold at the end of this generation's rainbow it seems.  It'd be silly to go looking for the other end of the rainbow when this one still has quite a bit of gold remaining.
