To sell 3.8 mln. first week, MGA4 need to reach:

1.5 mln. USA(low chance)
1.7 mln. Europe(low chance)
600k Japan(possible)

Most likely it will be:
600-800k USA
800k-1 mln. Europe
600k Japan
So 2 mln. atleast.
Though, it depends on good advertsing and if Sony would release 80GB bundles in Europe/Japan.. maybe it would be possible to reach 3 mln. first week. =)
3.8 is unlikely, though the game is high anticipated, but with 14 mln. ps3 by that time....
well who knows. ))
