Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Smash Bros. Brawl Official Updates

@Kturbo...I'm not sure how you classify them in the same group as the "wireframe fighters" from SSBM...those were just copies of the actual players...

These are brand new enemies made for Brawl...very cool.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Wow, a good variety of enemies.

Hah! Great way to make 5K Ben. A cool update too!!! It's looking like the single player is going to be a great challenging and unique side-scrolling adventure.

Definitely an interesting update. It shows that they're putting a lot of care into the single player experience and it might actually turn out to be a good game.

I love how they combine sinister with cute with those enemies. Very original designs. Brawl is flexing up it's original content very good.  Right now i would buy it just for the adventure mode.

Oh, and Ben's posts...OVER FIVE THOUSEEEEEEEEND (Sorry)

Yeah, I wasn't sure, so I checked, but yeah, Sakurai was the designer of Meteos, the puzzle game for DS.

That game's menu just oozed Smash Bros styled design...and the unique planets and races names were cool. These creatures in Brawl have similar naming...and some of them remind me of Meteos characters...simplistic characters that have obvious characteristics that make them unique...it's Sakurai's style apparently.

I have a question... Is the single player going to be basically a beat em up,similar to the old ninja turtles games or streets of rage.. cause that would be badass! Seriously, I hope it's like that with little story sequences to push the game along. And of course 2 player co op...

Well I can't say for sure yet, but that seems to be what it is.  A side-scrolling beat-em-up with boss fights and Smash Bros. controls with a plot driven by some FMV along the way.  Sakurai also said it was "character driven" so we may actually see a bit of depth in the plot.  Honestly I think the single player looks great, and reason enough to buy the game.

The background of Yoshi's pic is just stunning ! If this is in-game, well, it's very nice then .

It's all without a doubt in game.  The little Wii apparently had a lot more graphical power in it than I ever would have expected.
