The launch month of GTA IV in the US only includes five days of sales, so also only 1 week. Anyway, the GTA IV numbers on this site are pretty closely in line with NPD numbers, there is however a huge discrepancy on the hardware side. And to be honest, Vgchartz numbers simply make more common sense to be right.

And for GT5:P Sony had shipped 550k in NA by just a few days ago. For Europe the total was 1.38m. Now add Canada and a week or so in May and the fact that the 550k is shipped not sold and the GT5:P number seems completely plausible too.

I pray to god that does not happen, but from the sales this gen i don't see how you could be wrong. Maybe i'll see you next gen on some PC games

What?? It's not my opinion that nintendo have released no new AAA or AA hardcore ip's on the wii it's a fact. The other fact is comparing the wii's line up to the gamecubes line up of games their is very little difference between the two. Last gen the gamecube finished 3rd and most people agreed that was because the software wasn't good enough. This generation the wii is dominating and the only difference in software is wii sports, wii play and wii fit, all of which are casual games that have scored badly and hardcore gamers generally don't like them. The wii sells the most because it is the most popular console not because it is the best.
