Not happy with just posting this on the official Gears forum he happily sent along a nice and cheerful letter to said website that originated the story with this classy number.

“Please remove that complete bullshit story about Gears going to PS3. Cliff Bleszinski has NEVER been quoted as “threatening Microsoft to port over Gears to the PS3″. We’re very happy with our relationship with Microsoft and are extremely grateful of everything they’ve done to help make Gears the huge success it has become. Part of that success came from being an Xbox 360 exclusive FIRST PARTY title and Microsoft getting behind it in a huge way. They’re the publisher of Gears of War and, unless they say otherwise, there is no chance Gears is coming to PS3. For PS3 we have Unreal Tournament 3 and it’s going to be fantastic.”"

Well that pretty much settles it I'd say.

Although that confirms Gears not ciming to the PS3, does it say that bioshock isn't? btw - I don't believe that it will anyway.

Yes, the story that is "Complete Bullshit" he was referring to, was the Gears/Bioshock announcement

Gears of War coming to the 360 is the same to say that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is coming to the 360. It's simply impossible (well, not impossible but very unprobable because Sony and MS have the rights of those games).

There was a link in the story to a previous statement about Bioshock.

None of this surprises me, nor should it surprise anybody...but there are indeed fanboys out there who think these two games could end up on the PS3.  It's good to just set it straight and move on.

Nice pr from Rain, funny how he did not say anything about fighing MS for control of Gears downloadable content.

my guess is that there is a problem in their relationship. nothing will happen cause of legality, but you can bet the gears 3 will be on ps3 and 360 and pc. they might even include all 3 gears on a blu ray for ps3 owners, just to piss off ms. gears 1 coming to ps3, fat chance. a gears coming to ps3, bet on it. as for bioshock. there used to be a ps3 version, but it was mysteriously dropped. a magazine got an official scoop that it was timed exclusive (pretty sure). confirms what i thought, that it was timed exclusive.
