Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery set for August?

I recently updated the 360 releases thread using IGN info. A few days back, IGN updated their U.S. release list and unexpectantly both Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery for solid release dates. Tales of Vesperia will come out on August 19th and Infinite Undiscovery will come out ten days later on August 29th. The issue is I can't find anyone else pushing those same release dates anywhere on the net. Normally I would brush off a lone site giving a release date but this is IGN, and they're very reliable. How much weight do you think these dates hold?

If true, this would put a big focus on RPGs all summer and going into the fall since Operation Darkness comes out in June, Spectral Force 3 in July, Infinite Undiscovery and Tales of Vesperia in August, Age of Conan and Sacred 2 in September, Fallout 3 and Fable 2 in October, the possibility of Rise of the Argonauts and Champions Online making this year(pobably not though), plus the already released Lost Odyssey back in February.

I wonder if Tales of Vesperia will make it to PS3 after it colossal failure on the 360. I am saying that because Tales games do usually poorly outside of Japan (except for Symphonia).

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Oh my god. August? I dont think I can get PS3 just yet now. I want both these games more than MGS4. Oh well. Roll on August. Then save for GOW2 and BK3 oh and get NG2.

If the game was ported to a console it would most likely be the Wii. The marginal increase in userbase probably wouldn't offset the costs of also bringing it to the PS3. It isn't exactly the same situationas last generation.

Of course, Namco could choose to ignore the game outright like they did with Tales of the Tempest.

I am SuperLloyd!

(Im)patiently awaiting the Dawn of the New World!

I don't know what possessed them to make it 360 exclusive..it makes no sense

Namco and MS have been bed buddies for awhile now.  I don't know how it happened, it just did... Look at Eternal Sonata and Ace Combat.

I keep forgetting, is Infinite Undiscovery exclusive to the X360? And who is making it?

What a dumb idea, releasing both big exclusive JRPGs of the year in the same month? I know I'll buy them both if they're good, but I'm sure many will pick and choose.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I am not sure right now if I will choose either. I started to get interested in Valkyria Chronicles(and yes, I do have a PS3) that game is coming out only a month or 2 after August. Also, Too Human is suppose to come out on the same day ToV is rumored to come out
