Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 3rd party taking serious on the Wii, Madden 09's controls/graphics

going by those videos I must say I was impressed...definitely looks more fluid than 08 did

I think I gave up on Madden. I played 08 for the PS3 and Wii, absolutely hated both of them, controls felt out of place on the Wii and well, I couldn't get into the PS3 version either. At least the Wii wasn't the same exact thing from the last 4+ years so hopefully they can get the Wiimote to work better this time around.

I am still waiting for a high quality NHL game though.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

EA is the only company so far that understand what potential lies in the Wii. It seems pretty good for a corporation with such a bad reputation.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Godot, have you never played Pro Evolution Soccer 2008? This game is a shame by comparison.

I don't know if Madden '09 will pale, BUT PES2008 is a phenominal game. Konami did the Wii right for once. Great online as well.

BAM! There it is!

Activision, Squeenix, and Capcom have also given serious attempts at learning what and how to develop on the Wii. EA isn't alone in its support.

We'll be adding Namco, Konami, and the rest of independant civilized gamedom to that list soon enough, if my assumptions are correct.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Konami- target terror, elebits, a survivor DS port game, wing island, dewy's adventure, etc... I think I'll pass. Yeah, PES 2008 was great but other than that I dont trust Konami bringing great games on the Wii

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

If they took Wii serious we would have an NHL game by now.

yep

and I've been wating forever for a tennis game and now they have finally come!

I bet most of the NHL sales are from Canada LOL. EA should give up on the wii ninty fans hate them. 360 Is the home for sports games. Madden, NHL ftw. good to see that ea is acually trying thou but like isaid i don't think ninty will change their views this generation

^ I think you should say it to Konami, EA done well when Wii was concerned, Mysims, Smarty Pants, and Boogie sells well. The Godfather, SSX Blur, and Medal of Honor Heroes 2 have good controls on the Wii, and Boom Blox was the best party game we've seen in the Wii so far.
