hey all

some of you may still know me as a regular poster, but because of my military service I have become more of a lurker recently. However, I want to comment on the development the page made during the last few months.

I want to say that I am absolutely astonished how the site is progressing. It is just great to see what happens. We have very accurate hardware numbers as several comparisons have proven and we have software numbers from every major region that are much more than enough for everyone that is interested in sales, and that become more and more accurate as the recent GTA launch has proven. Also, the numbers seem to be coming in very regularly now and there are rarely longer waiting times as there were in 2007.

On top of that, the community becomes more and more active too. We are already used to theSource's very insightful analyses and y-koron's informations about japan, but other members as sqrl start to do it too and that is just great. I also very much appreciate BengaBenga's "The Week That Was" informations, they are very welll written and add a lot to the site imo.
We also have good news in the gaming news section, the one I want to mention is elgefe with his report about launches etc.

As far as I can judge the forums, they also seem to be fairly interesting with much less flamebaiting than we had in other times. There are great threads, particularly from Eric Aston, about sales etc, very funny off Topic threads (or even better, threads about MK and Samus ) and a good style overall.

So to conclude, I want to congratulate everyone participating on this page and in particularly the above mentioned members and of course ioi to what they are doing. It is just great.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

i agree
there has never been a better time for Vgchartz!

Yeah, compared to about a year ago these forums are in WAY better shape. The mods have really cracked down and I think everyone has calmed down. People aren't taking themselves/their consoles/their hate for other consoles as seriously, which is a good thing.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

yeah,
has improved much since I first became a member, I enjoyed a lot of the current news posts and the forums has became more interesting.
