So I was wondering how many of you weed users don't smoke?. I try not to smoke. I am a runner and a mountain biker and I hate for the drug to destroy my lungs. I use thc teas and baked goodies to remedy this. Does anybody else not smoke to get high? I even had thc popsicles and they are a great healthy alternative to smoking.

I love smoking things waaaaay too much. I've had brownies and cakes and cookies, but nothing compares to smoking a bong or a joint.

Most people I know definantly prefer to smoke, overall I think it is a more enjoyable experience. I love buying new pieces at smoke shops because they trully are pieces of art. I am not a bong fan just a bubbler fan as long as it is filtered by water I feel better about smoking it.

@ Dr. Grass
So is it legal to buy pipes and bongs in South Africa and are the laws really harsh concerning possession?

Ugh... hell no! I'm highly allergic to the stuff, and will happily turn over to the authorities anyone who smells of it. I did it to a kid who rode my school bus.

I feel very sorry for you.

Now GTFO.

EDIT: This post, in conjunction with the one made below it, have been moderated for flaming. -d1

Smoking pot is one of the dumber things you can do with your time.

I had a friend who had everything going for him. He had a cool girlfriend, he had a nearly full ride at SMU, had a lot of good friends, and things were just generally going well for him. Then he had another friend that was just a giant pot head and got him started smoking pot.

He started by saying it wasn't actually bad, it's legal in other places, and every other excuse pot heads tell themselves to make it alright but they really know it's dumb as shit. After that he started losing friends, lost a lot of his scholarships, lost the girlfriend, and had to drop out of school.

Since then he's moved to all other sorts of drugs but pot what is really started it all for him and ruined his life. That's kind of the short story of it but you get the idea.

I'm sorry, but people who smoke pot are just morons. They sit there and tell themselves that they aren't going to do any real drugs or they aren't hurting themselves but lets see them five years down the line. What other drugs have you done? How much money have you wasted? How many friends have you lost? How many opportunities have you lost?

Sorry for the rant but this is one of those sensitive issues. People who smoke pot are just fucking stupid and the people that sit there and tell themselves they're cool because they aren't pot heads are even bigger idiots.

How about fucking free will? How about all of the positive health effects? Helping to relieve stress, sleep, eat, focus, etc.

If people smoke pot constantly and don't do anything, then yeah they're an idiot but you're the idiot for telling people what to do with their lives and acting like it's some awful drug when it's not. Few people use other drugs, waste a ton of money on it and smoke frequently, lose friends and lose opportunities. No body dies from marijuana related causes. Go take a look at stastistcs and shut the fuck up if you think it's more harmful than tobacco or alcohol.

It's unbelievable how judgmental you are. Who are you to tell people what to do with THEIR life? Live your own and move on and shut up.

Well, it was a high schooler in my case. If he chose to do something illegal knowingly, then he took the risk of screwing up his life. And with how strong the scent was, he was either a heavy smoker of it, or was smoking it at the bus stop. Neither of which seems like a smart idea. I didn't screw up his life, his own decision screwed up his life. Besides, if I didn't report it, his first teacher would have. As the driver who encountered him earlier, I would be questioned on it, and could be seen as an accessory for not reporting it. So even if I did think the blame was on me, if it's his life or mine, he's screwed.

How do you know what marijuana smells like anyways? (I think someone's been naughty! ) Couldn't you just have said that you didn't know how marijuana smells like?

Actually, I can answer this, and no, your assumption was wrong. Several years ago, a group of friends and myself would get together for a D&D session. In the summers, we liked going to parks or whatnot outside for the fresh air. This one time, I saw someone over at the corner of the pavilion smoking what looked like a cigarette. The wind changed directions, blowing the smoke toward me, and I knew instantly it wasn't a cigarette by the smell, which also started closing my esophagus. I'd smelt it twice since then- once in college (I confronted them about it, and confirmed that is what I had smelt), and then on this kid. Besides, lying is also not a good thing to do- I've always said that I will tell people what I think; I'm not going to sugar-coat it. And what would I get for lying, other than into even more trouble should I be caught? (That, and I also had a hard time breathing for the rest of that trip.)

You might just be one of the lamest people I've ever come across.

Dude don't get banned over pot if you do the thread will probably die.

For somebody who expects people to be open minded towards homosexuals dunno sure shows he is very closed minded towards other lifestyles. If a person has to do drugs it is by far the safest drug to use.

You can buy bongs, pipes, grinders... Everything you want.

Weed is also really easy to come by. There are basically three types here.

1. Table weed.  My staple diet. You can buy a nice big bag for R100 ($12) and get about 20 joints from it. I go through a bag a week at the moment, since I found a dealer who has a nice strain of skunk he's selling me

2. Outdoor. A little more expensive. Around R40 per gram. Good for bongs and buying in bulk. This is like chronic except not grown with lights etc. Not as potent as...

3. Chronic/indoor. If I bought this all the time I would be broke as hell and stoned out of my mind every day. About R120 - R200 per gram. You get all the nice strains from Europe and Canada here if you know where to look. There are some kick-ass growers in my area and I take full advantage when on holiday

I was quite shocked to not find nr1 when I was traveling through Europe. I like having enough weed to give out to anyone who wants and always have some reserves... Not a fan of the expensive stuff.

The police will arrest you if they catch you, but there are some big differences to in 1st world countries. Firstly, our cops have a lot to keep themselves busy with... Secondly, like most people here they aren't interested in working toó hard, so they're not out to catch you. I'm regularly stoned whilst walking in town and if a cop comes by I don't stress. I like having a walking joint sometimes, and wouldn't mind passing through town and then just nipping the joing when I see a cop. That said, I live in a more alternative neighbourhood with lots of artists, musicians and students, so it helps that no-one stares at you and contorts their face in disgust if they smell a little weed. (I can see a few people above that would simply be shunned here for being such an ass)

Made me laugh so much there was a tear in the corner of my eye

(I'm assuming its in reference to my recent banning history)

To all you lame haters, I'll show you how cool st0ner culture is...

Anyone here on VG is more than welcome to contact me and come to my place for a nice joint and some gaming if they're ever in the Cape Town area Actually quite possible I guess since so many tourists seem to be flocking here.

Oh, except if you're a middle aged creep that only comes to CT to visit me. That wouldn't be cool.
