Even the owner of this site and a mod seem to just want to shrug off official numbers and announcements. And here is something else that was said, GT5P has sold 1.5 mil in Euro alone.

Sony shouldn't have MS's shipped numbers to Europe, or did MS release those numbers on some financial reports??
Sony would have MS's sold numbers from GFK though..
Now, I might be wrong, its just that I havn't seen any 360 shipment numbers from Europe yet..

Shipped. SHIPPED. S.H.I.P.P.E.D. Ioi and the mods aren't shrugging at the numbers but for the influx of the ignorant that will arrive to debate the validity of VGC's numbers. It's the shipped vs sold debate....again.

Read. READ. R.E.A.D. the thread. I compared sold to sold and shipped to shipped.
Honestly I don't care anymore, I'm done with this thread and trying to report any news or sales figures that I come across here.
I've seen vgchartz shrug off official and NPD numbers. VGChartz defense force is worse than SDF or the Wii fanboys or the MS fanboys.

Because your link has a mistake it says:
Reeves later revealed: "As of today, in our region, [PS3] has sold nearly 12 million units."
Which would mean the PS3 has sold 12 million in Europe, obviously mcv made a mistake and it should read:
Reeves later revealed: "As of today, in our region, [PSP] has sold nearly 12 million units."

The 10.5 million PS3 sold (shipped) figure is for end of 2007. VGC had it at ~8.9 million sold through at that time. Now it's up to you to decide if it is remotely possible that 1.6 million PS3 were still sitting on the shelves as of 31 december 2007.
