Forums - Sales Discussion - GTA IV the beginning of the end of the XBOX 360?

Does Microsoft care that much whether the XBox 360 finishes third? No. It does not matter how far both Nintendo Wii and PS3 finish in front of the XBox 360 by the end of the generation

Being profitable, improving upon the predecessor XBox, building a new franchise Gears of War , gaining third party support, continued growth of XBox Live, selling millions of consoles and software despite the ongoing problem (RROD issue).

Some would say that all current generation consoles would have been successful at the end of the day.

beginning to be dead,

pretty much the same as is dead in my eyes.

gtaiv would have marked the end of the 360 IF gtaiv was ps3 exclusive. it's the only game that could have done it.

@ Shams, Stof, and Grey

Read the title and OP again. I never said it was dying, I merely posed a question, so how can my logic be flawed? It's a question.

Right. you asked a question and we merely answered. I don't see the problem.

That was moreso at Shams/Grey than you.

I just felt you were somewhat sarcastic with your response to the thread, uneccessarily, but upon reading again, you simply answered the question.

No problem here.

Well, being last place could still mean big profits (GameCube wise).

Companies are obviously happy if they gain big profits. But the problem is, in this "sport" called console wars, getting last is a bad thing. In that context, "The End of the Xbox 360" still has a long way to go, maybe late 2009, early 2010.

Exactly, thus proving my point.

It is worthy of discussion. Some think it is, some think it isn't. This is a site where we discuss sales... Right?

So we're discussing the sales of the 360. And my thread title isn't flamebait. It's a question. I didn't say it was dead. That would be flamebait. Learn the meaning of words before you come and attack me.

Oh, fantastic; The thirteen year old's logic of "I didn't actually say the words, so your argument is wrong."

The beginning of the end means death.

Grow up.

No reason to resort to persoal attacks.

This thread fails miserably. It makes absolutely no sense at all. Both shams and stof are right in criticising you on this thread.
Starcraft would say this thread is trolling.

Of course starcraft would

I have a sneaking suspicion starcraft is watching

I suspect he returned from a weekend trip down the coast with his girlfriend only to be horrified to find both himself and leo-j banned.

However, it is also likely that apart from sending some message he is around, he wishes to respect his (somewhat unjust and irrational ban).
