So here you can post the professionals of gaming's predictions that thought the wii was going to be a success, i know there aren't so many.

 

I'll start with one of them:

 Gabe Newell (co-founder and managing director of Valve Corporation, developer of Half Life) January 2007:

 

“The PS3 is a total disaster on so many levels, I think It’s really clear that Sony lost track of what customers and what developers wanted. I’d say, even at this late date, they should just cancel it and do a “do over”. Just say, “This was a horrible disaster and we’re sorry and we’re going to stop selling this and stop trying to convince people to develop for it”. The happy story is the Wii. I’m betting that by Christmas of next year, the Wii has a larger installed base than the 360. Other people think I’m crazy. I really like everthing that Nintendo is doing. “

Michael Patcher.

Before both the PS3 and Wii launched, he predicted the Wii would come on top for the year.



"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

And he also said that the PS3 was a total disaster.

One right and one wrong still makes a crappy rate of predictions.

He just about lost the little respect I had for him...

the arrogant fool..just because HE couldn't make Orange Box work on the Ps3 like IW did COD4...

I disagree with the total disaster part , but yeah the kind of people that forsaw the success of the Wii are the kinda people Sony and MS need to be employing.

yes but they were in the process of making it until he started to whine like a little girl & gave PS3 versions development to EA or something like that

Then of course COD4 came out and sold 3 million on Ps3...maybe if he would have got of his lazy obese a$$ n put in some effort he would've seen sales..
