Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Hideki Kamiya disgusted at Capcom's gimping Okami for the Wii

It's not just the credits, look, you miss the ending scenes after them too!

Holy haymakers Onimusha wtf! I was up to the part where I just beat Ninetails and now your telling me I have nothing
to look forward to.

WTF, I wanted this to stay in my collection but looks like I'm selling it back.

Yeah, I'm selling mine back too. This is so utterly pathetic.

No its the credits and the ending sequence with Issun's secret revealed.

You wrote that the entire ending had been cut out. That is not the case.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Oh, okay, they still left in the ending before the credits, just not the beautifully cinematic credits themselves and the rest of the ending after them. MY BAD!!!!

And you also said they only cut out the credits, which is not the case.

while it's really not a big deal, it does make me angry and it certainly demonstrates the tension between clover and capcom. How can they be so lazy when all they had to due was cut out the clover symbol. It shows how quickly this port was done, they couldn't make a box art, they couldn't edit a symbol so they just cut the ending out, they couldn't replicate the same look so they just compromised, and they didn't take the time to make really good wiimote implementation.

The fact that they couldn't even get a boxart from the original developers shows how much hate there is between clover and capcom.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Well thanks for this thread as I was thinking of picking this up for the Wii.

Now seeing as how it got great scores and has glitches, freezing, portions of the ending cut out, etc... I think it is safe to assume we can not trust any reviews these days. Didn't this game get 9-9.5 ratings?

I had to restart a 10 rated game in GTA IV because it locked up on me... about 15 or so hours in. Just locks up as the game is loading up. Now how does GTA IV get a 10? That is a pretty big issue. Not to mention it takes forever to load up to begin with.

Reviews are mean to give us all the info we need in order to make a purchase, not a half assed review based on 20 minutes of play. They leave so much out because many times they are paid to do so.

Very disappointed. :(

Is it still worth picking up for the PS2? I would have preferred 16x9 Widescreen but PS2 version does not have that option correct?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Well we were both wrong, but that still doesn't excuse you bashing the whole game, with misinformation. Blame whoever ordered this, not the freaking port of a game.

ok i looked at the youtube video. Man you really do not miss much. Just 1minute of somehting that was in japanase after the credits.

if the game is there in 99.99% anyway I do not see the big deal. I think people should just stick to reading the reviews about this game and see what they had to say.
