Forums - Sales Discussion - Dutch charts week 18 (GTA IV 360>GTA IV PS3)

I'm sure we'll get an official PAL thread for this as well, but since it hasn't been created yet and people might be interested how different games did I'll post it already. It doesn't seem like GTA pushed any other titles up in the charts for PS3 or 360.

1  1 GRAND THEFT AUTO 4 (X-BOX 360) TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE

2  1 GRAND THEFT AUTO 4 (PS3) TAKE 2 INTERACTIVE

3  1 WII FIT (Wii) NINTENDO

4 1 4 MARIO KART (Wii) NINTENDO

5 2 11 MARIO & SONIC AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES (Nintendo DS) SEGA

6 3 20 MARIO & SONIC AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES (Wii) SEGA

7 6 11 BRAIN TRAINING (Nintendo DS) NINTENDO

8 5 3 MY WORD COACH/VERBETER JE WOORDENSCHAT (Nintendo DS) UBISOFT

9 9 4 GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE (PS3) SONY

10 10 11 MORE BRAIN TRAINING (Nintendo DS) NINTENDO

Edit: Just noticed there actually was a PAL charts week 18 thread already, should have searched a bit better before posting this.

No matter how many times I see it, I'm always amazed how Brain Training can keep charting after almost two years.

The third number are the weeks in the chart?

Don't think so, MK hasn't been out 4 weeks.

Yes, the second number is the ranking from last week and the third one is the amount of weeks, but DS games have only recently been added or something like that causing Braintraining showing only 11 weeks instead of like 100. And FishyJoe, Mario Kart was probably released before the actual release date cause it first charted on the rankings from the 12th, while normally with a friday release date it won't chart until the week after.

Thanks, then the DS games only start charted since 11 weeks ago

No, they started charting 13 or 14 weeks ago, it counts the weeks it is actually in the chart, not the amount of weeks since release.

At least in the part where I live WiiFit was sold out the day it was launched. I have no idea whether stores received new shipments already but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. A few weeks ago I had a little chat with an employee from a major electronics retailer and he complained about the horrible job Nintendo is doing in regard with supplying them both in software and hardware. There were supply issues for almost every single major title during release, like Galaxy, Mario Party 8, Mario & Sonic and now Mario Kart Wii and WiiFit. Also he mentioned they sold more Wiis they imported from other countries than the ones they got delivered by Nintendo themselves.
