Yea its like I cant even get a chance to play anything. 30 secs after booting up my PS3 it freezes.

Launch ps3 60 gig. Not a single problem. It runs everything so beautifully. It freezes once a month....nothing a simple restart fixes.

I also have a launch ps3 and gta4 worked fine and installed fine on my ps3. I however did switch my ps3 HDD a few months ago to a 160gb.

I have a launch 60gb PS3 and today GTA has froze atleast 5times on me, this was the first day it happened, it started after the "Payback" mission around 55% to 65% complete. But i have started to spread my save files out, i now have 6 save files just incase one of them does not load i can just delete it and only lose about 2hours of gameplay.

@ckmlb, You really need to get the heli, the views are just awesome. Hang out with Brucie alot, you can earn the chopper from him. The time square was awesome the first time i saw it, it was night time and my jaw just about hit the floor, it was just that great looking.

i have no clue wtf some of you do with your consoles but i have not had a single problem with GTA4 or any game yet.

The worst thing GTA did is some frame rate slow down, wtf kind of crap do you kids download onto your PS3 ?

Ok, firstly

1. It's called hype get over it, the game got what it because the reviewers loved it, that's all.
2. The only thing we should take away from this 10/10 business is that all these reviewers seem to share the same likes and dislikes.

@OP I'm sorry to hear that, but it might not have anything to do with your GTA per say, if you use your PS3 for many other functions
it tends to wear out it's DRM's I suppose. Either way it's a ram issue and it's not organizing itself properly, you should be able to at
least watch movies from a DVD/Blu Ray still. You probably use its browser more so than not which accelerated the issue.

I believe it's not wide spread though, it might be constrained to the 80/60 Gig I cant remember. But that makes no sense because the RAM is still the same.

I've had some issues loading he game last night, and this morning. I'll put in the disk, and everything is going fine, until it starts loading the game save, then it just freezes on that screen.

This morning when I popped it in, it wouldn't even make it past the inital loading screen, where it shows all the pics of the people in LC.

If I keep trying, I can usually get it to load after about 3 or 4 tries.

Never frozen in-game, just when it's trying to load up initially.

i heard if u disable the internet then do it the game should work fine?....dont know because i dont have the game or a ps3 just trying to be helpful
