X4. I bought MK:Wii over GTA IV as well. Sandbox doesn't do anything for me.

How many more MK:Wii>GTA 4 threads are we going to have? I don't remember there being any anti-SSBB or SMG threads when they came out.

Guys yes GTA IV has great multiplayer....but it's online.

Online is a great addition but it should be to compliment system multiplayer. People that have friends in, you know, real life, can't play with you in GTA IV.

Mario Kart on the other hand is a game that friends can enjoy together. Not to mention it's a proven fact that girls for some reason insist on playing that game and only that game.

I do agree with that. Ever since online play started they used it as an excuse to kill local player to drive sales of a few more copies... or atleast that's my cynical viewpoint of it.

My question about MKWii.... how is the battle mode?  I'm really worried the changes are going to make it suck compared to the one life, dog fight big strategy events it used to be.

 Thanks for judging how good a friend I am base on buying a game.  Makes a lot of sense.

On a more friendly note, I don't understand why some of you are so surprised that someone would choose Mario Kart Wii over GTA IV.  It's a great game, and I know many people that would buy it over GTA anyday.  

 But I never said he isn't going to get GTA IV.  He will eventually.  But for now we are enjoying a great game and having fun with friends!  No regrets what-so-ever!

Your not very good friend (how did he make that assumption?) made the correct change, because there is no way in hell GTA 4 possibly has the best multiplayer ever created.

So really, it was a compliment.

As to the MK Wii vs. GTA IV grudge match: They're two blockbuster franchises released almost simultaneously. Of course people are going to make comparisons, and people who own a Wii + HD console are going to have to decide which one to buy and play first.

 Like the OP said, they're not hating on GTA, they just opted for MK Wii first. Don't be so defensive.
