Conker... good times. ;) I played the original demo at E3. It was so sickeningly sweet that I put it down for fear of getting cavities from playing it. (In all reality, it was a poor Mario 64 clone staring a squirrel.) A couple of shows later, Rare came back with a game that pushed the boundaries of 'family friendly' Nintendo and that was pur comic genius. (Either that or the free beer they were giving out got to me.) While not the greatest game play wise, it was an extremely funny title. Too bad we'll never see it on the Virtual Console. :(
And isn't No More Heroes somewhat of a parody on the sandbox genre? (Saving your game by sitting on the toilet?) And the previously mentioned The Simpsons Game is a parody on other games as well.
And I'll third, fourth, and fifth the idea that we don't need more crapware out there. 'Funny' or not.
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.
