Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How do Wii-only owners feel about GTA4?

If it came out on the Wii I might try it because of the Wii mote and how much I enjoyed the Godfather with the Wii control system.

I also think both Sony and Microsoft must be very thankful thats it's not.

A game made by some of the best developers around, with the highest gaming budget ever, acknowlegded as a superb game, a sequal to the first game in a great genre, and more. How could I not be interested?

If it is ported to Wii, I'll buy it. If not, I'll try if my PC can run it.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Some of you are railing on Wii owners who have no interest in the game. Might I remind you that there were 110 million PS2's on the market but only 15 million copies of GTA: SA were sold.

Looks like not everyone is frikkin bananas for GTA.

Do you honestly think Wii version of the game would do anything to slow down the sales for Microsoft and Sony. The main feature of GTA4 for me is online freinds list, and in game communication.

Like thash talking the other day while having a hellicopter race with freinds online...both can't be done on the wii.

@macross

That was hilarious.

@Christopher_G2

We are not bashing GTA IV, we are just stating how we feel about the game.

Any GTA game is welcome on the Wii, but I wouldn't care about it even if it came.

Why? I don't like the heavy gangster theme. The old overhead view type of gameplay is the type I prefer. Rather than making everything so dead serious.

Games where you shoot other people or aliens up with guns (FPS) or games where you get to be a social monster (sandbox sims)... These are the big names in gaming.

It's hard not to see the mind set of gaming's major demographic.

TBH, I was bored with GTA3 in 20 minutes.

I liked Godfather Wii, though: the motion controls made that game insanely fun.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
