Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How do Wii-only owners feel about GTA4?

The differnce is there, I wish someone could sum it up in words, but I know I can't.

To put it plainly as I now understand that there are others who don't like GTA not out of passion hate or love nor fanboyism; GTA is just not something I look forward to, I see no depth to it in fun, I see the slap stick humor type things shribbled in a more than respite story that fumbles to endure time; which grant a moment of awe, expecting so much and recieving well GTA.

I honestly can't play the game without becoming physically ill.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I like the franchise, but I never thought it was worthy of selling a system by itself (eyes that is), I leave that to large first party/exclusive hit list (think nintendo, sega or PS2), and technological leaps in gaming (PS1, Wii).
I share a similar view, it's a nice compliment to a game library but not exactly triple-A material.

I want it too, and i am willing to take a graphical downgrade for a upgrade controller-wise. GAMEPLAY>GRAPHICS

I don't give a rat's ass about GTAIV. Doesn't even interest me at the least.

You have no desire to get in a car...pick up a hooker...and get in to a head on collision with a truck and have the hooker fly through the windshield?

This does not sound fun to you in the slightest way?

maybe it would 14 years ago when I was 13

What can i say...some people get in to hookers sooner than others i guess.

I really don't care for this type of game -- violent where I am the bad guy. The only GTA game I have is 2 for the DC (collector's item).

I would love to have an open-world/sandbox game on the Wii. One maybe where you are going after the bad guys. I think it can be done.

In other words, this is not going to make me rush out and get another console. It should be interesting to see how many people do that for this game or if the sales have been by people who already have X360s or PS3s.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I'll personally be getting the PC version. I'm not the hugest GTA fan and I really really didn't enjoy SA though, hopefully this one feels a bit more like VC than that.

GTA doesn't interests me at all...

You'd be sacrificing more than that. Oh, and there's a Resident Evil 5 for Wii petition that badly needs your support.

I'll buy it on PC when it's $30. Maybe $40. The online multiplayer would be pretty fun with a mouse for aiming. Then again I guess that doesn't make me Wii-only lol.

100 million people had a PS2 and didn't play GTA. 25 million people had an N64 and didn't buy OoT, not to mention all the people who passed on the N64 altogether. Not every game appeals to and is played by every person.
