Some of the gif's posted (like the one above) really show how bad the pop-up problem is.

Not that bad in the XBOX 360 retail version of the game.  

I did that as soon as I found the arch, and it didn't do anything like that.

I've played the game for about 6 hours now and haven't seen anything even remotely close to pop-in like that.  Who knows where that came from (probably a very very early build) but it's absolutely false.

Xbox360 version score 3.5

That Phrase made me laugh, very clever.

If that's a regular occurance, this is a huge problem.  However, if they simply found some way to manipulate the popup (such as driving facing backwards, then swinging the camera around before hitting that) then it might not be such a big deal.

If it is the former, the 360 version is gimped pretty badly.  But I'm betting, since this is a parody site, that they did their best to manipulate the engine so it wouldn't load things in the proper order.

i'm playing the 360 version right now, the pop-ups are there but it never gets in the way of the gameplay for me, i don't even notice it actually:)

A trurly fair and un-biased review. I think he was being a bit too generous with the 360 version though , seeing as the cell enables the PS3 to run GTA IV at 1080p @ 120 FPS.
