Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who will probably never play GTA IV?

I'd never say never but I doubt it. The missions always bored me, I just liked screwing around in GTA and they've removed most of the fun stuff (co-op, cheats) in favour of online but I'm not a big one for online play. So not likely no.

Because everyone who disagrees with your opinion is mentally unstable?  Some people don't like the concept of playing as a sort of pseudo-bad guy.  Crazy, I know.

I probably wont unless I buy a 360 down the line. We will see howmuch extra cash i have later this year or next.

I don't think he meant that in an offensive way. He was just expressing surprise. While I'm with you in not being particularly interested in this title, I remain stunned to this day that there are people who don't like Mario games, and I'm sure there's some game that you feel the same about. Grand Theft Auto is simply Flow's Mario.

But with guns. And hookers. Hmmm...maybe I ought to rethink my position...

me. I rented San Andreas and I never got into it. No plans of buying it, but who knows. . .

I'm going to be cool and say that I will get it.

I'll never play GTAIV. I honestly, just hate all the other GTA games. I always think they're gonna be great, but they always end up having bad controls, repetitive, difficult, boring, and unnecessarily long missions and quests, and it's like the game tries to do everything, but it just does it poorly.

I also thought I'd love bully, and yes, it was one of the few Rockstar games I was able to actually finish, but it's just repetition with a generic super-hip adult coat of paint on top of it, and I honestly hate the game.

I recently bought San Andreas and reconfirmed this.

This is no fanboy ranting, I want to love the games, but honestly I can't. I might end up buying it far in the future when I get the itch to try it again, but probably not, and I know I'll never get halfway through, cause its just terrible gameplay to me.

I will probably never play it.

I don't have anything against people who do, though.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I will probably never play it. I played GTA III and Vice City both for 2-3 hours until I got bored of the back and forth driving in the city to accept missions and fulfill them and get another one and so on. Messing around was fun for half an hour, but that's about it. Controls were rubbish, graphics were subpar, music selection ranged from bad to horrible, there was really no reason for me to continue to play the game.

That settles it. I totally lost my urge to play this game now. GTA4 feels so much like Assassin's Creed, only in a less interesting setting (I prefer medieval times over present day). And Assassin's Creed got boring after only two hours or so...

I think I'll spend those hours replaying Oblivion instead (and save $60).

I have never played any of them and never will. If a game is full of profanity and sexual content I do not buy it because I do not want to play that kind of stuff. This is why I chose to pass on No More Heroes when it really looks interesting.

Me, probably. I have no particular interest in open-world games, mostly because they're usually 10-20 hours of content padded with 30-40 hours of backtracking, searching, and killing random enemies.

Am I wrong that your avatar, NMH also consist of open-world where you do mindless jobs for money??? I'm just a little confused about what you are saying here.

After all, not up to me to call you a hypocrite. :)

Welcome back, btw. I own a PS3. I've played the hell out of NMH. The open world aspect is one of the worst parts about the game. The missions are great, however.

I wouldn't play GTA anything to save my life, and I'm sorry you don't understand why some people just find the damn game boring, but I do. I would never say that about a game series I even kinda liked just to flame a console. I know a lot of people irl who feel the same way as me.

I have a real, personal, spiteful, and mean opinion about the type of gamer who lives and dies by GTA, but I'm not gonna throw that one out there, it would start a flame war, but...

It's silly to call people a hypocrite for hating GTA but liking NMH. It only proves one thing. You have never in your life played NMH and have absolutely no idea what your talking about, you clueless troll.
